NAMI Rappahannock Support Groups
NAMI Rappahannock offers free, peer-led mental health support groups in Fredericksburg and across Planning District 16. Our Signature and Homegrown groups provide connection, understanding, and practical tools for individuals and families navigating mental health challenges.

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups
NAMI Rappahannock offers nationally recognized, peer-led Signature Support Groups in Fredericksburg and Planning District 16. These free groups provide support, connection, and tools for mental health recovery.

Weekly on Tuesdays,
7 - 8:30 PM
A free, peer-led support group for adults living with mental health conditions. Join in person or online to share experiences, gain encouragement, and connect with others in recovery.

PD16 Regional Peer Support Group
Virtual Only
1st and 3rd Thursdays,
6 PM - 7:30 PM
This group is exclusively for those who have taken the 72-hour Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) training or provide peer support as a Family Support Partner (FSP) assisting caregivers or family members. It is also open to Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (CPRS). This group aims to support peers personally or professionally.
This group is in partnership between the NAMI Rappahannock PRS program and Rappahannock Area Peer Development Support (RAPDS)

A free, peer-led support group for family members and caregivers supporting an adult living with a mental health condition. Connect with others, share experiences, and gain practical tools and encouragement.

Youth Under 18
Virtual Only
1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month,
3 - 4 PM
A peer-led group for parents and guardians supporting a child or teen with a mental health condition. Gain resources, connection, and strategies in a confidential, supportive environment.
In partnership with the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board (RACSB)

Homegrown Support Groups
NAMI Rappahannock’s Homegrown Programs in Fredericksburg and Planning District 16 are peer-led, community-created groups that provide support, connection, and practical strategies for mental health and recovery.
